Question:
RE: Recovery Time
Thank you all for answering. I am planning on taking 2 weeks off, god willing. I'm a bit concerned about school, since I am taking 6 classes....I really want to just finish this semester since it's my last ..alot of people think am nuts. because of the amount of classes, But I spoke to a few professors and they are willing to work w/ me and if need be , I'll change some classes into online classes. Again thank you everyone for answering. — Jan D. (posted on May 1, 2008)

That is alot of classes to focus on. You should switch to University of
Phoenix. Depending on your program. Associates is only 2 classes at a time
for 9 weeks and that is full time online and Bachelors/Masters 1 class at a
time ground or online which is full time and only 5/6 weeks long.

I know this response is late. Here it goes. I had the RNY 1/7/08. I also
took 17 credit hours at school. I worked full time. I did take 2 weeks
off work. As long as you don't lift all your books at one time you will be
fine!! Good luck! I think staying so busy was actually a huge help for
me. I did not have time to soak up the "after surgery attention"

I had open RNY so didn't answer your question...I know that surgery takes
much longer to heal...anyway...Just wanted to wish you luck and much
success with your surgery and your schooling!
