Question:
I had a negative reaction to Actigall..has anyone else experienced problems?
I was prescribed Actigall 3 months post-op. After taking it for 2 weeks, I went through 4 days of vomiting, diaharria, nausea, etc. It has taken me a couple of weeks recooperating from this. PLUS I have only lost 2 lbs. during this time. I stopped taking Actigall and have started feeling better. — Carol B. (posted on August 9, 2001)

I also have problems with actigall, I told my Dr, and they suggested that I
take it apart and put in something that I am eating, so far that has not
worked either, so I don't take it. I guess I will have a problem later. I
am 4 months post-op.

Ho! I am about 3 months Post Op. I was in the hospital for about a week
because they thought I was having gallbladder problems, which I actually
have had one and off for about 11 years. Good news, I didn't have to get
the gallbladder out. But the Doc did put me on Actigall to prevent
gallstones from forming. He would like to wait until i have lost more
weight, get healthier and possibly prevent surgery altogether.
The good news is...there is a liquid suspension you can request. The pill
is way too large. And I hate the grit when you put it in food.
Blessings on your search! Hope things work for you!
