Question:
Anyone have a recipe or good idea on how to make protein shakes taste like frappicino

I used to be hooked on DQ blasts and starbucks frappicinos I'm sure it would be easier to get the protein shakes down. Thank you    — Gina K. (posted on June 3, 2007)

I like to mix chocolate low carb slimfast (20g protein & 2 net carbs) with the chocolate whey protein powder (23g). It tastes like a chocolate shake. Sometimes I add a packet of CIB (4g protein) to make it extra chocolately. REALLY YUMMY!!

I'm haveing lap band on 6/18 and getting my nutritional stuff organized a head of time. My Doc suggested protein drinks that had less than 5 carbs and at least 20 protein gram. I found Bioplex Whey protein at Super Supplements...Nutrition Facts Amount Per 1 serving Calories 80 Calories from Fat 0 % Daily Value * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total Fat 0g 0% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saturated Fat 0g 0% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Polyunsaturated Fat 0g -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monounsaturated Fat 0g -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cholesterol 0mg 0% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sodium 35mg 1% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Potassium 126mg 4% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total Carbohydrate 0g 0% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dietary Fiber 0g 0% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Protein 20g 40% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alcohol 0g Vitamin A 0 % Vitamin C 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Calcium 0 % Iron 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vitamin D 0 % Vitamin E 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thiamin 0 % Riboflavin 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Niacin 0 % Folate 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vitamin B-6 0 % Vitamin B-12 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phosphorus 0 % Magnesium 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Zinc 0 % Copper 0 % -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. I put it in the magic bullet with 1 cup non fat milk. I thought I would try stuff out ahead of time to see if there was something I wasn't going to be able to handle. Good luck, Carlotta

I use the nectar cappicano with Choc. Carb countdown milk ice in the blender, after blending to shake consistancy, I add a handful of almonds and blend for a few seconds more. Makes a great "mocha almond cappacino shake". Yummy!

I use Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Protein Stack chocolate powder. It has 23grams of protein per scoop. First I put some ice in the blender, then I add 2 scoops protein powder, 2 shots espresso and blend it really well. The thickness will depend on how much ice is used. It will bubble up a lot, and I have to wait till all the bubbles settle down until I can drink it. It really doesn't have the consistency of a frappe, but I think it's yummy, and it's a refreshing cold drink for the hot weather.

Just add an unflavored protein to the coffee drink you already like. Jerome UNJURY Protein

I agree with the first response. The Acheive One coffee drinks are my favorite. Easily portable, already made. You could blend it or put it over ice, but I drink mine right out of the bottle! Available at www.c2linfo.com , they are the best! I have tried to mix my protein shakes with decaf coffee and skim milk, but if you blend too long in the blender, you get too many bubbles! Good luck!
