My TT is scheduled for 2 weeks from today. The surgeon informed my
insurance company I have an umbilical hernia. Since I had no idea I even
had a hernia until my insurance company sent me an approval letter for the
hernia repair/abdominoplasty, I can't tell you anymore than that.

In genral it is a separation of the muscle along the incisional line that
could potentially entrap a part of an intesine. Happened to me 4 weeks ago
and had emergency surgery to repair it and due to the emergency was unable
to have the tummy tuck at the same time. BOOHOO!
