Question:
Hi, I need a chart of what I can eat I missplaced my list 1.5 months out of surgery
Hi, I need help we moved and I can not find my papers of what I can eat and how much of protein and sugar and or calories I should be eating a day. I would like to start a new phase. I am new to the area and have not found a RNY Dr. yet I thank you in advance for everybodys help — drumrollplease (posted on December 10, 2007)

The best thing I can think of is ask your former doctor's office to email,
fax, or mail you the papers you need so that you are following his/her
guidelines for the surgery that was preformed on you specifically. From
all the things I've read everyone has vastly different guidelines to
follow...some seem to come home on liquids only diets, I came home on soft
foods but high protein plus the various supplements. Good Luck, Leslie

The answer from Leslie Harrison hits it right on the head. That is what I
would do. My sister had lap band surgery and I had RNY both this year and
quite a difference in way each of our Doctors wanted done.

I also agree with Leslie. Surgeons do have very different guidelines, and
it would probably be best for your body to continue what you've been doing
until you find a new surgeon. If you really feel you need it quickly
perhaps the office would FedEx it overnight if you offered to pay the fee.
Also, I also wouldn't wait too long to locate a new surgeon because your
surgery was so recent.
