Question:
Anti-inflammatories after surgery
Hey gang, this is a follow up to a question I posted a few days ago regarding the taking of anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's) after surgery. Thanks for the responses. I did ask my surgeon and he said as long as I am taking Prevacid that I shouldnt have any problems, just to keep track of my stomach if something doesnt feel right. It is my hope that as the weight drops off and I excercise more, I wont need them anyway, as has been the case in the past. So, the question is, how do you take them? My doc suggested mixing the crushed med into applesause. I tried it with pudding last night and gagged. Any suggestions? — John Hoffmann (posted on April 29, 2006)

Buy childrens chewable ibuprofen or the suspension, just make sure to check
the ingredients for what you can tolerate. They will taste a little better
than adult ibuprofen crushed in applesauce. Shelly

I asked my doctor about celebrex and was told to take Malox before taking
the pill and wash it down with a lot of water. No problems so far.
