Question:
Has anyone Post-Op taken Clomid to get pregnant?
I was a year post-op on December 28, 2005. My husband and I got married on October 15, 2005, and I'm 36 years old. Neither one of us has had a child, but we are both interested in doing so. I saw my OBGYN for my annual woman's exam, and scheduled an appontment to talk to her about becoming pregnant. We are currently not pregnant. She did mention to me that we can may be able to try Clomid to help the process. I was just wondering if anyone has taken this medication post-op, and it you had any side effects? Any help would be interested. Thanks. — Mandeegirl (posted on March 6, 2006)

i have had both but at the same time. i have taken clomid and because
pregnant after 1 month. this was prior to my surgery. i have been post op
since 11/2003. i became pregnant 5 months after my surgery. i do not
think that you will have a problem getting pregnant without the clomid.
the dr stated that my hormones were raging and going up because of the
weight loss. i have a beautiful daughther after not wanting anymore. she
is a blessing that saved my life from the gastric bypass. i have lots of
knowledge on both areas here. if you wish to e-mail me directly with any
questions you may do so at [email protected] good luck and best wishes.

HI
Just last month I did a round of clomid, estrodiol and progesterone shots.
I am a year post op. I choose to do the clomid, because I had 3 previous
miscarriages before surgery and lost a fallopian tube as a result of the
last miscarriage. I did not get pregnant this last month, but I think our
timing was off. i will try again next month. There are side effects with
clomid, the days I took it I was fine and then a week or so later, you
become very irritable, moody, very bad pms basicially. I did ok and
managed to keep my emotions under control. Good luck.
