I am still pre-op but my guess would be to wait till you have gotten to
your goal weight before you go seek out plastic surgery. Your arms may
change even more then they already have and I am sure a Plastic Surgeon
would agree. Ive seen some turn away patients until they lose a certain
amount of weight. Maybe do a consult with a doctor and get his or her
advice. If your going to spend all that money its probably better to do it
when the time is right so you dont have to go back and do a revision. I
have heard that PS is really expensive but some insurance carriers will
cover the removal of excess skin if it interfers your day to day life.
Tummy tucks seem to be the most popular form of PS for WLS patients. I am
not there yet since I am still waiting to have surgery but i know thats the
one area I want to get rid of first.

I was 18 months out when I had my arm lift done. I was at a steady weight
for more than a year at that time. If you get any sores, rashes, bumps or
anything from the skin rubbing take pictures and note them for your
insurance. My insurance covered mine because I was getting sores in my arm
pits from the hanging skin rubbing all the time.

My sergeon works closely with Plastic surgeons and they all seem to say
wait 18 months for you body to total settle in and your weight loss to
stablize before spending money on any kind of plastic surgery. This is 18
Months from your original WLS date.

Some surgeons say 18 months from date of surgery, some say at goal weight
and maintained for 6 months.
Good luck,
