Question:
Went to the doctors today.

Finally I feel normal again, they took some out. and i gain weight, my body went in to stravation. The band sucks. I pray to God it get this band out and do rny.    — JANIECEMOM (posted on July 16, 2009)

Have you considered getting the band out and doing VSG. I wanted the band and then found out about the complications and was told about the vertical sleeve. Its where they simply take out the big portion of your stomach and leave you with a much smaller not easily stretched stomach. I simply eat a lot less than before. I have had no complicatins have not been sick and I have lost 69 lbs in 4 mnths. I am very happy with the results of this surgery and would reccommend it to anyone that is a candidate.

Yes I wanted that but my insurance dosent pay for it. I have medicare.

I was on the same boat as you are. Way too many problems with the band and the doctors remedy to fix the problem is to loosen the band. As you know, the weight comes back and that is why I had the band removed and had RNY last month.

How long did took for the doctor to decide to take the band out and do rny? How are u doing with it. Thanks
