If it didn't make you dump - make note of the sugar content and remember it
as your threshold. I would switch to sugar free and or the 100 calorie
ASAP.

As long as it didn't make you sick it is fine....we as a group can eat
anything we ate before as long as it doesn't disagree with our new pouches,
but the key is that along with surgery it is imperitive to make lasting
dietary changes to avoid possible weight gain a few years doen the road...
Sugar and carbs have become a lifestyle for most of us and therefore lead
to our downfall. The need to control those items is very real....I would
change to the sugar free ones asap just because the sugar in those can lead
to serious sugar cravings later....and the sugar free ones are just plain
better for you calorie wise...
But no harm no foul....you just change them out for the good ones and thank
god you didn't get ill or dump from the ones you did have...

I just checked packages in my cupboard:
Standard Jello pudding--2%milk = 19gr sugar per serving
SF Instant Jello pudding--non fat milk= 0 gr sugar per serving
So there is a big difference. You need to read labels carefully on any new
foods you buy. The standard pudding with non fat milk still has to have
10+ gr of sugar, more than the standardized 5 gr per serving. Your'e lucky
you did not dump. But you also now know--EARLY OUT--that you can tolerate
sugar. ONLY do the SF pudding with non fat milk in the future. Bad habits
in the beginning will only widen as time goes by, and you may not reach
your goal wt. DAVE

You don't know how lucky you are that you didn't dump! Many WLS grads who
don't dump consider that a curse! It's sooooo much easier to eat calories
in sugars and begin making bad choices that get worse and worse and before
you know it, you are gaining weight from useless sugar calories. You
should eat the sugar free versions of all your foods for the least amount
of calories. I have a little sugar in some things now and then at 5 years
out and it doesn't make me dump or gain weight as long as it is done in
moderation and with control. 9 times out of 10 I will pass on sugar and
simple carbs...and after years of this lifestyle you sometimes just fall
off track and when I have gained weight in the past...it's almost always
because of sugar/high carb binging that got out of control for a little too
long! You want to lose as much as you can the first year or two because
after that...it's very difficult to lose anymore if you want to or need to.
I know this from experience!
