Question:
Are there certain spices not good for you?
I am 19 mos post op, ( roux n y surgery). Tastes have changed. Enjoy anything ginger now. What is considerated moderation for a ginger lover? I love ginger tea, Chai latte, ting, ting jahe ginger chews — Susan33324 (posted on February 22, 2008)

I don't believe that there IS a limit. Ginger is considered a tonic and is
good for you. It's a food. I slice raw ginger in my green tea everyday b4
and after surgery. I also love to eat it in foods. As long as it agrees
with your stomach I wouldn't worry. It's just another variety of food.
Ginger rules !!

i crave hot foods!!! anything with crushed red peppers, jalapeno peppers,
hot banana peppers, etc. i add them to EVERYTHING!!! as long as you can
tolerate it it should be ok.

Ginger is a great for the stomach. You can use whatever spices you can
tolerate. I personally cannot handle red pepper like I used to. And it will
burn and make me uncomforatble. Ginger is awesom for settling the tummy!
Be careful with the ginger chews (my favorite!) They are high in sugar! :)
Wish they were made with splenda!

I love spicy foods. Anything that has jalapenos or hot pepper in it. I
also love chili (Hot & Spicy.) Mamash
