I had a belt lipectomy with a revision of my vertical RNY scar (incision
goes almost all the way around my lower belly) last year in August and it
was 14G. I am having a breast lift (no implants) and my thighs lippoed and
lifted on May 13th (yes a Saturday) and it is going to run 14G also. Just
an example of the costs for a couple of different surgeries in the Chgo
area. By the way no hospital stays on these, all done out patient at a
surgical center in downtown Chgo.

I am going to need a full body lift and I know that my insurance doesn't
cover it. I found out the same European company that helped me schedule my
gastric bypass also has cosmetic contacts. That is great because it was
affordable (cheaper than in the U.S. including the cost of airfare!) and
they were really great. For example the cost of a tummy tuck runs around
2300 Euro (around $3000)! They also have a company they work with for the
loans for medical surgeries. Let me know if you want more info. I am so
glad I found them! :)

One of the surgeons in Cincinnati gave us his prices during one of the
support group meetings. Body lift 14,650......... arm lift
6,500.........breast lift 5,500. He said there is medical necessity
criteria for removal of excessive skin for insurance to cover--depending in
the flap size, weight, ect. Also history of skin
ulcers/infections/irritations need to be documented by dermatologist. So
try your ins first. He gave us the number to call for loan if self pay
1-888-474-6231 ext 2 www.mlendfinancial.com. I'm only 5 weeks after Lap
Band , too early for me. Good luck. Rita C

Medicaid will pay one time if it is a health risk.... so if you have a rash
under the areas in question Start taking pictures and besure to tell the
Nurse Doctor EVERY time you go in... That is really Necessary...

The costs vary by area, that is the first thing you should know. Combining
surgeries cuts the costs, but docs will be the ones to tell you which
surgeries are the best to combine. I financed mine at a very high rate
through Capital One, and paid $17,500 for my circumferential body lift
(which includes a tummy tuck, mons lift, outer thigh and butt lift), inner
thigh lift (panty line incision only, just around where your panties
encircle your upper leg), and lipo on my upper thighs, knees and calves.
