Question:
Has anyone had gastric banding over RNY for weight gain?

What has anyone had as a revision to RNY? I ahve gained some weight and I would like to have some kind of revision. I never got to where i needed to be even with the surgery as I had so much to lose.    — Farmerwoman-101 (posted on January 19, 2010)

Hi Donna, I had a revision & really wish I had been happy & stayed with the body I had. I had a band in 2006 which I revised to RNY in dec 08. It failed miserably & I gained weight almost instantly. In a panic I opted for a third. I had it on the 21st of october 09 & have been in & out of hospital since then. I had to have 2 more surgeries,I has pus collected in my diaphram & the second surgery was to drain more pus from my heart & lung area, I spent 30 days in the hospital. you must choose your surgeon carefully. I've been thinking of doing the same banding my 2005 RNY. 300-176-218 it's killing me that I keep gaining. I never reached goal of 165 either.
