You will definatly have to start off with clear liquids. I was in hospital
5 days and was able to start full liquids after I got home. I had SF
puddings/popcicles, strained LF soups. Gosh, it's been a while, but
basically anything soft without chunks that's SF or LF/SF. The sugar is
what made me vomit, though everyone can be different. After 2-3 weeks of
full liquids, you can go to the soft foods. I loved the cottage cheese
with a tsp of SF jams, soft scrambled eggs. I can't remember alot of what
I ate, but I found alot of good info too on you tube even delicous recipies
too. I couldn't tolerate water, so I started using crystal lite, since
then, I get more than enough water than needed. Good luck to you. I know
this isn't much of a list, but it's a start.

I drank alot of propel, chicken broth and sugar free popsicles helped too..
Crystal lite helped also..Just remember do not get dehydrated. It may feel
very hard to get in your liquids just sip, sip and sip all day long.. If
you feel you are getting weak its because you are not hydrated
enough...After 2 and a half weeks of that my first food was one scrambled
egg and chew it until its practically mush in your mouth before you swallow
and I also had some refried beans with cheese on top (which was soo good).
Good luck and remember to sip, sip sip all day long.

Marino Italian Ices, jello, puddings, interesting things to drink. I
thought clear broth was horrible. The bouillon cubes with water are tastly
(chicken & beef). There are lots of things. Ices are pretty good for
this time of year. Good luck.

Two protein sources got me through when everything else looked
"icky": Max Protein powder (recommended by the wls chef at
lifeaccordingtoeggface.com) and Isopure protein drink (40gr protein per 20
oz bottle). Also, pick up a Magic Bullet mini processor. They are
indespensible for getting food mushy enough and making protein shakes that
don't have too much air. Expect to be overwhelmed at first, but remember
that everyday gets better and better.

The "New Whey" bullets are good mixed with fruit-flavored herbal
teas, too... and the warmth feels good to your healing pouch. They have 42
grams of protein, and qualify as a clear liquid (along with your tea), but
they are a little to thick and tart for me to drink by themselves. I also
added them to sugar-free Jell-O as part of the "cold" water.
They add a nice tangy taste to either the teas or the Jell-O. One BIG
hint.... go to your local liquor store and buy a package of
"jello-shooter" cups. They are exactly the right size for a
one-ounce serving of pudding, cottage cheese, smooth yogurt, jello, etc. I
spent the day before surgery making a whole cookie tray full of SF Jell-O
made with the bullets, and SF instant pudding made with fat free milk and
some "Any Whey" protein powder mixed in. I made several
different flavors, so that I could have a variety, and so that I didn't
have to do the work when I got home and maybe wasn't feeling so good.
Lucky for me, I felt great and could have cooked or stood up and mixed
things up, but others have had a much harder time with their recovery, and
having things pre-made is just sensible. Hope this helps.

I drank Myoplex (Strawberry and chocolate - the premade ones you can get at
the grocery store), and I drank gatorade g2. SF popsicles were also a good
treat. I stayed on those.... I was having issues getting in enough protein
(still do) so i really didn't go for the jello and puddings, and I didn't
want them. I was NEVER hungry at all!! The most important thing is going
to be your protein shakes and whatever SF drink you like. (I always was a
big water drinker - I would drink it all day long.. now I need some flavor
in my water).
