I'm not exactly sure as I had LapBand. Didn't you get a detailed plan from
your nutritionist/surgeon?
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance,

You should have gotten specific guidelines for your surgeon or
nutritionist. I had lap RNY and by 8 weeks was on a regular diet with
these guidelines: Stick to 1/2 cup of SOLID food @ each meal. Example:
Breakfast 4 TBSP protein, 2 TBSP fruit and 2 TBSP grain Lunch &
Dinner 4 TBSP protein, 2 TBSP fruit, 2 TBSP vegetable Snack 2 TBSP
protein Stop eating when full. Stop drinking 30 minutes before meals and
wait 1 hour after eating before drinking.
Stay away from liquid calories like milk etc. Chew, Chew, Chew. Always
eat your protein first.

I am 9 weeks out RYN. I have a hard time w/ protein drinks right now.
looking for something diff., down 69 lb. total.
I eat moz. string cheese, refried beans w/ chz., beef jerky, protein bars
(when eating do not eat all in one sitting snack on bar through out day).
made speghetti for kids i ate the meat sauce, so good. I eat the dried peas
other dried vegies . I eat some trail mix, shelled sun flowers helps with
the crunchies. Shredded Wheat cereal w/ almonds at this time only 4
almonds and a small handful of cereal breakfast is hard for me.remember eat
slow, chew alot. do not drink, i eat ice no problem. Quit eating before you
are full helps not to get sick. just some ideas keep in contact Tammi

You should have gotten a food requirement from your Nutritionist. At 8
weeks I was already on regular food, I had Open RNY in April 08.
Please check with Nutritionist, he/she she be the one telling you what you
can/should be eating.
Good Luck

I have a week by week menu from my nutritionist. Check with the
nutritionist at your surgeons office for a detailed list. I have to see her
as often as I see my surgeon.--1wk, 1month, 2months, 3months, and 6months.
She goes over all my food questions and gives me ideas for the nest week. I
am about the same time out and I cannot eat some of the foods other people
say they eat.

I'm also 8 weeks out and eat anything I want to. I stay away from
somethings only because they seem like they will be too "heavy"
or fatty. But I make that determination by just thinking about that
particular food. I've gotten into eating the little pre-made dinners
(usually $.90 at Wal-Mart or my local grocery store) that meet my tastes. I
don't usually eat the whole thing and am totally satisfied. If it feels to
"heavy" I stop and eat something else. You have to go by what
your own body is telling you.
