Question:
3 month diet
I am at my 3 month mark and having a really hard time with my diet. Can people who are at 3 months or more tell me what they are eating? I appreciate all help provided. -dre — dre_1974 (posted on September 25, 2007)

Andrea, you should be able to eat what you want (within reason) at 3 months
out. This will begin your test of what agree's with you and what doesn't
anymore. Dumping syndrome they call it. I can no longer tolerate pasta. And
before surgery I was a pastaholic.......lol I wish you all the best!! Yes
yu will still lose weight. Mickey.......

I am currently 4 months out and I am eating just about everything. I do
still have trouble with some meats and grains and sometimes pasta. I still
can not get in enough to make my 800 calories a day but I am working on it.
I do not eat any sugar or anything that is high in fat.

DRE, I had a very hard time with digesting any type of food at three
months. I almost at four months now and things are much better since my
doctor dialated my opening between my stomach and small intestine. Now, my
plight seems to be more normal (just testing out new foods).

well for me personally it's not what i eat that i'm worried about getting
sick on but the consistency of it...i'm 4 months out and still can't really
eat meat, i have no problem with sugary treats whatsoever...i basically
eat things with either a cake-like or gooey consistency or very soft....i
can eat sandwiches no problem (as long as the meat is soft like tuna or
grilled cheese) i can eat pickles surprisingly but really each day is just
going to be a hit or miss...what makes you sick one day you'll be able to
eat the next...good luck

Hello dre, I am almost 4 months out. I get my 50 grams protine shake for
breakfast. Sometimes I eat a egg then slip on my shake until it is gone.
Some kind of protine for lucnh. Cottage cheese(fat free). Chile, string
cheese, No fat refried beans with string cheese on top. The string cheese
is low fat also. I do a lot of fish, tuna (which I found goes down easier
if you mix boilded egg and no fat manazine in it. Anything to make it moist
will help it move though. Most fruit is going down well but I keep it to
only once a day. My faviote thing to do right now is buying a chicken soft
taco from taco bell. I bring it home, place a spoon of refried beans on a
plate and heat it up then dump the soft taco contents on the beans and
throw away the floor tortia. I find everything now is going down Ok, but I
have to wait until food moves though after a few bits before I eat more. I
stay away from sugur and hope I do forever. I do buy sugar free fugde ice
cream. Other day I put three chicken breast in a crock pot, and one can of
chicken of cream soup, cooked it all night until it fell apart. Added a
little broilie and carrots. I have 8 containers in the freezer.
