Question:
Pregnancy - I'm wondering if anyone had WLS and then had a tummy tuck before any pregnancies.

I'm hoping to have this surgery and may need to have a follow up tummy tuck, but haven't had any children yet and plan to in the future. Should I wait to have children first? Thanks.    — [Anonymous] (posted on June 13, 2001)

I am still pre-op, but I heard that its best to have children before you have a tummy tuck as it could seperate the muscles that were just stitched together with the surgery. Of course you can still have children after the tummy tuck, but to have better muscle tone, its best to wait. After I reach goal, I plan on having another baby and then afterwards having a tummy tuck. Good Luck to you!
