Question:
Why am I so hungry around my period?
I am 4 months post op and down 76 lbs...Ever since surgery three days before my period I feel like I can eat non stop. I really can eat more on those days than at other times,I just eat healthy foods, but since our stomaches are so small, why is it that I can eat so much on those days? and normally I can't. Would'nt it not make a difference? — Vel K. (posted on June 8, 2001)

I get that way too the same time. Not sure why but it's not fun. Those
are the days I measure my food and make sure I don't graze. I do what Barb
does and drink an extra protein shake as it seems to curb the cravings. I
also go for more walks or just keep busy. Also if I keep drinking I know I
can't eat so that helps for me.
