Question:
What type of protien fills you up more ?
I am allowed 4oz of protien 3x a day - what type would fill me up faster - I am trying to lose weight faster and feel full faster ... Thank you — [Anonymous] (posted on May 14, 2001)

Eggs have always filled me up quickly, especially if they are boiled or
scrambled. Also, ground beef fills me up pretty fast too. I always nibble
on it when cooking supper and there have been many times that I didn't want
to eat when it was ready because I was already full. Chicken is filling
but you have to be careful because if it's too dry then it can get stuck or
just make you uncomfy for a while. Hope this helps!

I found that ANY type of protein curbs my hunger & really fills me up.
Whether it's lunch meat, protein bars, eggs, steak, or a glass of milk.. a
little goes a long way & fills me up!

You didn't say why you're asking. Do you feel lethargic? Or hungry? Or
just want to turbo charge your wt loss? I do about 180g of protein supps a
day. I can't get enough via food, so I don't waste my pouch space trying.
An egg is 6g? They're nice, but it's not THAT much fun for me. For less
space, I can get 30g of protein and have the egg for fun in a half hour.
It's just a system that works for me. I lost 150#, have maintained it for
many years now. I prefer to leave myself as many choices as possible and
not have so many restrictions. For me, it's easier to cover my bases
supplementally, then if I want salad, I eat salad. I'm getting my green
leafies (which I like), but I don't feel as if I am being force fed. I
think I did too many of those diet where you HAD to eat this, this 'n that
and no good stuff (fruit & veggies). Yuck. I do avoid milk &
sugar, but it's not a major crisis for me. Signed, The Epitome of Laziness
