Question:
I had WLS on 3/16/01 - WHY AM I ALWAYS HUNGRY ?

I have only lost 48lbs since my WLS - I thought it would be more - I can eat anything - nothing bothers my stomach - I only eat food that I should though - I am ALWAYS hungry ... HELP !!!!!!    — [Anonymous] (posted on May 14, 2001)

OH MAN do I ever remember that! I had surgery 2/20/01 and still feel hungry all the dang time! Heres the thing though, about 9 weeks out LOTS of things started bothering me. I now have to be careful on pretty much everything I eat. To solve the hunger thing I started eating jello alot. Its normal to feel like you do. Just hang in there, it gets easier.

I'm now 8 days post op and I'm also hungry all the time. I can't eat food yet, still on the liquid diet. Just wanted to say - I know how you feel! I eat a lot of sugar-free popsicles and jello. Also, for some reason, warm chicken broth sooths my stomach.
