Question:
Tylenol Elixor (liquid) post-op problems?
Does anyone have problems taking Tylenol Elixor (liquid) post op for various kinds of pain? I took it for the first time today. I am just over 2 mo. post op and need it for arthritis, etc. After I took it, I felt "yucky!" Didn't seem to agree w/ my pouch. Do you find that you have these kind of problems when you start any kind of new meds post op that your pouch isn't used to? I have had it happen w/ a few meds post op, but generally it goes away after my pouch gets "used to" the medication. I wonder if this will happen w/ the Tylenol Elixor also? — kathy S. I too felt yucky and had stomach pain after Tylenol Elixir.
I agree, I would try diluting it and taking it slowly to prevent this.

The liquid Tylenol also has sugar in it so you may be dumping. There was
a lady in our support group who was dumping on the liquid Tylenol with
codeine that they were giving her immediately post-op...JR
