Question:
Can I have wls surgery if I've already had a tummy tuck?

I lost alot of weight (95 lbs) in 1996 after the use of diet pills. Since my skin had not gone back, I had a tummy tuck. Of course, the weight has slowly crept back and now I am looking into wls surgery. My question- Will the surgeon be able to operate on my stomach without undoing the muscles tied together during my tummy tuck? I'd hate to see all that money go down the drain.    — DOROTHY A. Hi, I had a tummy tuck before surgery. I also lost weight with Phen Fen a few years ago. The tummy tuck had no affect on the RNY. The tummy tuck incision is horizontal, the RNY is Vertical. No problem at all. If you are like me, the RNY was less painful also!!! Good Luck, Karla
