Not a question -- just some information I found recently about a scar fading cream

My friend said that there is a cream that will help fade scars. I haven't used it myself and this isn't a product endorsement, but I am going to order it. I had an open RNY and have a large red scar. I'm not sure if it will fade it entirely, but anything would be an improvement. It is called Mederma. It is available over the counter at several drug stores or you can order it online at their site. You have to ask the pharmacist for Mederma. It's kept behind the counter because of the cost of it. I've been using it for 4 months and don't really see any difference. I still have a red, ugly scar. I know everyone is different tho! Good luck with it!

I asked a pharmacist about this product and asked if it worked. He told me for the money it does no better than cocoa butter and vitamin E.
