Question:
How much do the post op plastic surgery procedures cost?
I just had Lapband surgery so I am making plans for the future. What surgeries are recommended due to excess sagging and what are the approximate costs? Does any insurance company cover the plastic surgery? — CarolM (posted on June 10, 2005)

I know that if you have a history of rashes or yeast infections under your
breast or belly and have it well documented by your physicians to include
pics there is a greater chance to getting the panni and breast reducton, I
don't know about cost each surgeon is different. Good luck. Denise

I could only get my insurance company to cover my tt (it was $4200). I
paid for the lipo to my upper arms ($1800), modified brachioplasty ($1800),
inner thigh lift ($4200) and breast lift ($3400) myself. This is just my
PS's cost. Add about $2000 for each procedure for the surgery room and
anesthesia.

I had a circumferential lower body lift last sept. The insurance covered
the TT for the front I had to pay for the back to be done. A regular TT
with my Dr. is $8200 if you pay cash and that includes all labs and surgery
facility fees. If I would have paid for the whole procedure myself
including the hospital anesthesia etc it would have cost about $35,000.
With all my copays deductibles and the portions not covered by insurance I
paid about $10,000 out of pocket. Hope that helps. Wendi

I jsut got estimates from my PS. Lower body lift (all inclusive surg,
anesthesia and facility fee), $9800.00. Just the tt will run about $6000.
Brachioplasty and breast lift with implants, all inclusive, $11,000. I was
just denied by my ins (BCBS) for the tummy tuck because I have not met
their silly requirement of long term antibiotic use for skin infections.
I'm not bitter!!

PS costs depend on location, surgeon, and the extent YOUR body needs work.
You wont get a realistic dollar amount unless you speak with a surgeon you
are considering. That being said, I've researched one surgeon so far and
have an estimate of 7800 for a TT and 8200 for breast lift and implants.
Those costs include the surgeon fees, anesthesia, surgicenter fee, and post
op pain mgt. My costs would be less if I had chosen to do the procedures
in his office and not stayed over night....but I'm a wuss with pain. :P

I just had a LBL three weeks ago and I paid 6750.00. That included
everything( doctor, two days in hospital, anestheologist). He did an
awesome job too!! He wanted 4800.00 just for the tummy tuck.
