Many, many of us are revised from older surgeries. A lot of us hang out on
the Grad list, where one must be 1+ years out to POST (not to lurk), so you
might want to ask there about revision experiences.

With all due respect, if your 'revision' was on Feb. 3rd, why are you even
trying the food, much less the amount of food that you ate before it?

Hi Sheltone, I had a revision from VBG to RNY back in 2002 and I was also a
little disappointed in my initial loss (6 pounds over 2 weeks). But when I
asked my dr. he explained that those of that have had a revision will not
see the large initial losses like those having WLS for the first time
because that first big loss is due to the sudden restriction in the amount
of food they can eat. They go from a large regular stomach to a little
pouch while we do not. In my case, my dr. did not even reduce the size of
my pouch. He took down the VBG, removed the ring and any remaining staples,
then did the bypass, but he used the size of my existing pouch to create
the RNY pouch. So in my case all the weight I lost with the RNY came from
the fact I now had an intact pouch and the bypassed intestines. If you can
still eat the same amounts as before, I would not worry, he probably did
not reduce its size. You will lose weight - mine was slow, but I was just
so thrilled that the numbers on the scale were going DOWN and not UP. I did
eventually get to goal, it just took me awhile longer than some of the
surgery virgins out there. Good Luck.

Iam on soft foods when I say that Iam eating the same amount as before that
means If I could eat about a half cup of soft mashed popatoes or soupy oat
meal then I still can. Iam not eating steak and potatoes or anything soild.
Sorry I did not explain that before.
