Question:
Leaving on Friday for cruise and have a question for you

We are going on a cruise for 6 days for a family wedding. I am concerned about getting in my 64oz of water----We can buy unlimited non-alcholic beverages for $10 a day -- I have tried contacting Carnavial but can't get to the right person -- to see if bottled water is part of this. I do NOT drink soda or ice tea. I was wondering if anyone with experience with Carnavial could help me out. Do you know if they have sugar free fruit juice?? I was trying to find individual crystal light packets and can't find them for sale. I am excited but nervous about the water issue. Thanks for your help. Keep trying with Carnival. In the meantime, I have seen the Crystal Light packets - minis - look like sticks 30 in a box at GFS and WAlmart

Hi, when we went on our cruise it has been 8 years ago, people took their water with them, as the price for bottled water was extremely expensive. It was 3 dollars for 20 oz. and it was never cold, just an easy way to make money. Things may have changed though. have fun and good luck

I don't know anything about the cruise, but wanted to let you know you can buy individual crystal light packets (makes 8 oz I think) at www.discountcoffee.com. They have lemonade, iced tea, fruit punch, etc. They also have packets that will make 20 ounces so you can just add them to a bottle of water. Hope this is helpful.

Hi...I believe bottled water is included with the non-alcholic drinks @ $10 a day, and there is "tap" water available in the restaurants. You can bring your own bottled water, also, but it sure makes for heavy bags, lol. We've done this on our cruises several times. They just don't allow you to bring alcohol for consumption on board. You have to buy theirs :o) I would definitely keep trying to confirm with Carnival, though. Denise 316/158

You might try getting one of the little individual water filtration kits and use tap water instead of buying the bottled water. It was horrendously expensive on all the cruises I've been on. We're taking one with us to Brazil since we can't drink the water there. It would be a LOT easier than hauling your water with you. Hope you have a great time.............I love cruising.

I took a cruise last week on The Sensation and it is a Carvinal line. I took my own water, you drink at each meal and they are always serving meals, so you will have a chance to drink whenever you please with/without the meals. I did not even drink all the water that I took because it was available.

If you aren't having any luck getting an answer, call your travel agent. They are a wealth of information, and what they don't know, they will find out. For what we pay them, let them do the work of finding your answer. They will be happy to do it for you. Besides, I'm sure you have plenty of packing to do! Have a great time!

You can take your on water with you. They allow you to bring your on beverages. Pack them in a suit case and you will not have any problems.

Bottled water is not included on Carnival and it is very expensive. I just drank lots of tap water with ice. I took my one quart drink container and carried it every where with me. I also drank lots of unsweetened ice tea which I could always get from room service or one of the many many place you can eat 24/7! Also just so you know, Carnival menu is very WLS friendly. They had many many sugar free deserts and healthy choice options for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main dining room and alternate dining rooms as well. I cruised in July for 10 days and lost 12lbs, everyone else in my family gained weight!

I just went on a cruise with Carnival on the Imagination last month. I can't find the crystal light in individual packets in our local stores either so I was worried about getting dehydrated. The tap water on board is free so I ordered it with meals but to me it had a musty taste so I always ordered lemon to put in it. The bottled water is not included in the soft drink card and it is quite expensive at over $3 a bottle. However, in the terminal before we boarded the boat there were people selling snack items and bottled water. I bought a case of water for $20. My friend and I went half on it because there were about 32 1/2litre bottles. So it was plenty of water for our 5 day cruise and they delivered it directly to our stateroom. I had to keep it on ice in my room to keep it chilled so every time my friend ordered room service I told her to order a bucket of ice for me. So I think our stateroom steward thought I was weird. But it worked. So, you may want to take a small cooler with you and don't forget to ask before you board the boat where you can buy a case of bottled water and have it sent to your stateroom. Have a great time on your cruise.

I went on a cruise recently and we packed water in one of our suitcases and used the extra room on the way back for gifts and goodies we had purchased. It sure helped to have the extra room on the way back. Also, they told us that the tap water on board was filtrated and would be perfectly fine to drink. I don't know about you, but I am just so used to bottled water. Hope this helps.
