Question:
I have
Anyone know what my chances are on getting these fixed and covered by insurance? They hang over my waist band. They do hang and fold to the point that In the crease where they fold, I have devolped psoriasis, all red and scaley. I suffer from psoriasis, and there is no cure, just creams to hold it back. Does anyone know if insurance will pay to have them removed based on psorisas? Thanks! Phiddy — Phiddy B. (posted on May 7, 2004)

I have psoriasis also, and I'm waiting on approval for plastic
surgery. I'm hoping by having it will help my case. we know that psoriasis
affects the skin, and having folds gets sore and stay red most times. I
don't know if your ins will see this or not, maybe if your doc will point
it out in details. Best wishes to you.

I'm not sure when you had your PS but you may want to talk with your
surgeon who performed the original surgery. Fixing that would be a quick
procedure and should cost you very little. Its really just a touch up.
