Question:
I am looking into plastics, & finding prices way higher than expected
I am looking for info from any one who has had a lower body lift, and upper arm lift in Mexico, Puerto Rico or any place else. How did you find a surgeon and set it up? I will likely bring a nurse friend with me to help in case of problems, But I just do not know how to get started. — **willow** (posted on March 12, 2004)

Try this website for PS in Brazil:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MedNetBrazil
Check out the files section, there is a current price list, the moderator
of the group, Christie, acts as a coordinator for Dr. Fabio. She is
American, living in Brazil, had her plastics done by Dr. Fabio. She has
pics up in the Photos folder.

Look for a Teaching Hospital close to a College in your area. I went to
Shand's in Gainesville here in Florida. I had upper arm lift and breast
enlargement. Cost was $4902.00 for everything. In Jacksonville were I live
they wanted 3500-4300 just for the breast enlargement.

Costa Rica is 1/3rd the cost of the US based Plastic Surgeries. There are
many highly qualified Dr's down there. It's where I will be headed over the
summer.

I hit send before I finished --- My sister and mom are nurses. They
reviewed Dr's with me and spoke to the Dr's and US liaison nurses (many CR
Dr's pay US based nurses to help coordinate PS). I started with internet
searches for Costa Rica Plastic Surgery. Then checked out credentials. I
haven't decided which Dr yet.

Dr. Gongora in Rosarito Beach, Mexico. His website is: genesisclinic.net.
He has a group on MSN groups (Friends of Dr. Gongora). Most of his
patients are Americans. The MSN group includes messages from patients as
well as patients who have posted their before and after pics. It's a great
resource.
