There is something called "water intoxication" but I don't think we have to worry too much about that. It is people like athletes who drink large quanitites of water constantly. There have been deaths from it. But I just don't think it would apply to us.

Also...in addition to the last post...you have to remember that you have to replace the potassium and sodium. We flush them out with the large amts of water drink, plus don't take in enough food to replace them.

Surgery in november? I doubt you could drink too much, dehydration is the big danger, even a long time out. Besides dring the quick loss phase we needs lots of water to flush the garbage out of our system.

That is a good question because pre-op I drinked about 6-7 liters a day - now I can't hold 1 liter a day and I really miss my water I never drinked juices, gave up sodas years ago - don't like coffee and my dentist ask me to stop drinking tea because it stained my teeth easily. When I go to the doctor in a few days - that is my No. 1 question when I can my tummy take in more water because I'm thirsty all the time now. At the moment he said I could have 4 ounces at a time - then wait for it to empty. Occasionally, I forget and drink too fast - and that sucks!
