Question:
Juice Plus?
I've heard from two of 'us' here that feel they've benefitted from taking the supplement, 'Juice Plus'. Personally, I know I don't get in as many vegetables as I would like to and probably never will as I will always have to focus on getting the protein in first. Anybody else a fan of 'Juice Plus'? It's over $30/month and I just want to be sure it's helped you before I commit. — Vicki S. (posted on December 10, 2003)

Okay here is my 2 cents as I considered juice plus after my surgery as they
sound like a very good product and I believe that they are a good product
for people who didnt bypass part of their intestines... so you have to
consider that we dont absorb vitamins and minerals the same way anymore.
When we have our surgery the first part of our intestine is bypassed and
this is where we used to absorb most of our vitamins and minerals... so it
doesnt matter if we take juice plus or flintstones, they arent made to be
absorbed by bariatric patients. So... I take Vista vitamins... each
component is chosen to maximize absorption for our post op anatomy. I did a
lot of research on this subject and have been taking vista for 3 months
now. I am a 29 month post op. I have a great deal of information on vista
medical on my website www.bariatriceating.com if you click on Vitamins and
Supplements or you can read about them on the vista medical site. I
represent the company by choice after deciding that they are an excellent
product for us and I have featured them in a book that I have written on
bariatric health and eating. Read the facts and see if they make sense to
you too. ciao Susan Maria
