Gas x is fine...but try Maalox Max..it also has simethicone (for gas) AND
1000mg of calcium (yeah yeah..it's carbonate...but it won't HURT ya!!!)
Comes in a berry quick dissolve tablet (although the quick part is a LIE)
and is quite tasty:)

Hey Pat,
Taking Gas-X 3 weeks out is alright...I had to take it in the immediate
post op days...The day I was dicharged, I had to go by the drug store to
get some...Eventually, the gas will disappear. The other thing, with the
doctor having manipulated your "plumbing" it's going to take your
body a little bit before it gets used to the new routing. Also, when you
do have abdominal surgery of any kind, our bodies tend to protest, and our
digestive system comes to a screaming halt. And that could possibly be why
you are still gasy. But don't worry it will soon end.
Hugs
