Question:
Is there a liquid paxil that I can take after surgery?
I wonder if there is any sugar in liquid paxil if it does exsist?I'm not sure how well I will be able to swallow pills. — natalie J. (posted on September 28, 2003)

I was able to take my Paxil in pill form right after sugery. My doctor
said to just break it in half. I have had no problems swallowing them at
all Good luck.

Paxil is quite small. If you have a g-tube they will give it to you that
way in the hospital and you could even do that at home as long as you have
it. I take Celexa, which is similar sized and I was taking it orally once
I left the hosptial. I doubt it will be a problem, but like the other
poster said, break it in half. I think only Prozac comes in liquid, but
check with the pharmacy. I was going to take some liquid amoxicillan a few
months after surgery but then decided to ask about the sugar and changed my
mind. I managed to get the big pills down okay. Now I can take 2 huge
catclium citrate with vitamin D at once. Talk about horse pills! You can
do it!!

I bought the liquid paxil and it is orange flavored, but not tasty! I
think that as long as you are on liquids only you should get the liquid
paxil, but as soon as you are out of the liquid phase you can break/crush
the pills.

Iwas worried about taking my Prozac as it is quite large but I was given it
in the hospital and continue 10 days post op to take it with no trouble.I
take my pain pill and cut in 4 though.
