Question:
Has anyone developed gallstones even after being put on Actigall?
I know that Actigall won't guarantee gallstone prevention/gallbladder disease....but I'm curious. For those of you who were prescribed Actigall after surgery: Did you end up developing gallstones? I'm almost 6 months post-op and almost finished with my 4-month prescription of Actigall. I'm hoping my chances of developing gallstones were diminished by taking the Actigall. Please let me know...Thanks! — Amy A. (posted on September 27, 2003)

I'm almost 2 and 1/2 years post op Lap RNY. I think I took Actigall for
about 2 months. I still have my gallbladder and I haven't had any
problems yet. <Fingers crossed> Hope things go as well for you. S

I took Actigall for six months. I'm a bit over a year now, and so far, so
good! I think I have heard of one of my doctor's patients having gall
bladder trouble despite the Actigall, but if I remember correctly she also
stopped taking it earlier.
