Question:
I need information about plastic surgery in Brazil or ?
Hi, I'm almost 18 months post-op and very happy at 126lbs, overall my skin retracted quite nicely and I'm pretty pleased except with my buttocks and breasts which are pretty yucky but I don't think they are yucky enough to get covered by my insurance. I need information on getting a breast lift and a lower body lift by anybody that went to another country because of the cost, I'm thinking Brazil or maybe Thailand...Help.... — Diane B. I'm doing research on a doctor in Ensenada, Mexico. Don't let
"Mexico" throw you off. That's where I went for my open RNY and
had an absolutely wonderful experience. I have had zero complications and
I'm doing great. My doctor and his staff are amazing, caring, and I
received so much better care than I've ever received in the U.S. On top of
all that, my doctor's complication rate is less than 1%, the doctors in the
US I was looking at were between 10-20%. The plastic surgeon that I'm
researching is French, trained in France, but practices in Mexico. There
is a lot of information about him on his website, as well as a couple of
press releases. He is recommended by my bariatric surgeon (US trained, I
might add) and he is definitely who I will be going to when I'm ready. Dr.
Gouin (PS) performs at the same hospital as my bariatric surgeon (Dr.
Aguirre). Here is Dr. Gouin's website: www.dr-gouin.com The people
and accommodations in Ensenada were outstanding. Good luck to you!

I personally used a PS in Mexico who is awesome. His prices are lower than
the US. Go to www.genesisclinic.com and check it out. If you want to know
about PS in Brazil you can start by asking about it on Dr. Marchesini's DS
Yahoo group. He does WLS in Brazil and I know many of the post-ops
have/are/will be going there for plastics. From what I've read the prices
are really low.

Has a price list, a few photos (both of patients and the clinic and staff)
and the lady that runs it is a US citizen that lives there in Brazil. She
acts as a sort of concierge if you want, but you don't have to use her. As
soon as I can save up the money, I plan on going.
