Question:
Like to get the groups thoughts on drinking Crystal Lite Slurpees from 7-11
I drink 2 crystal lite slurpees( sometimes I mix it with diet pepsi slurpee) every day to fulfill my water intake, I drink 2 44oz slurpees a day. They are so good and statisfy my thrist. I really don't like to drink water much (hard to get down) I drink my slurpees with a straw and recently have experienced alot of gas....just like to know what you guys think? — Tarah S. I haven't had them, I heard they have carbination, which is why you are
probably having gas. I like the flavored water, propel, and fruit 2 O.

I am pre-op. I tried the crystal lite slurpee last week, and it was so
sweet/sour that it literally brought tears to my eyes! If it made me gag as
a pre-op there is no way in heck I could drink it post op. lol

I have tried the slurpees and I like them but they can be quite tart. Just
be careful with the calorie content as some of them can be kind of high.
They are not carbonated so that shouldn't be a worry for you. I have gas a
lot from just about everything so the slurpee could be the reason.

I would need to know exactly what goes into these things. I wouldn't trust
anything where I couldn't get a breakdown of all the ingredients. Aside
from the Crystal Lite, I'll bet there's a ton of sugar or carbs in these in
order to make it palatable to the masses.

wow.. that's a lot of slurpee.. you should know they're NOT calorie free
but they are supposedly sugar free. If you search either my name, or the
library, you'll find I asked a question about this. Personally, I don't
think there are any substitutes for water... water is water... and if
you're having 44 oz of slurpee, are you still eating what you're supposed
to be eating? I am more than a year out and 12oz of one is more than
enough for me... funny how we're all so different.

The Crystal Lite Slurpees have quite a few carbs in them. I forget just
how many, but the 7-11 website does do a breakdown of the nutritional
values.

High acid and carbonated (pepsi slurpee) not good for your healing tummy...

oh.. two more things.. I think they average, depending on flavor -- to 4
calories per ounce... which makes a 44oz slurpee about 176 calories... not
sure what else you're eating, but I couldn't afford over 300 empty calories
a day.. but that's me... also they are carbonated... all slurpees are...
kind of weird.. but that's part of them.

The Diet Pepsi Slurpees are wonderful, aren't they! The drawback is they
they are not caffeine free.....so for every ounce you drink, you can only
count half of that as your fluid intake. In other words, drink 20 oz. of
anything with caffeine in it and you only count 10 oz. of it towards your
fluid intake. Not only that, but Slurpees are fluffy.....if you have a 20
oz. Slurpee and let it melt, it's probably only 12-14 oz. of actual fluid,
so it's pretty deceiving. I filled my cup up to the hole on top of the
domed lid and 10 minutes later it had settled all the way down to about an
inch below the rim of the cup!

The Crystal Lite Slurpees have 12 grams of carbs for every 12 oz. according
to 7-Eleven.

I have heard alot of people say the crystal light slurpees are good, and
they are ok for you to have.......caffine on the other hand I was told if
you drink 10 oz, you then have to drink 15 oz water just to replace what it
took away from you, so it wouldn't even count twards what you should take
in. Good Luck to you!

I wish I could get my hands on one! I've been struggling to get in the
required amount of fluids. My tummy only tolerates fluids when they are ice
cold.I'm in Arizona and I've been to about five 7-11's so far and have yet
to find one that is carrying the crystal light flavor of slurpee. :(
