Question:
would like to know what anyone's daily diet is at
8 months out. I ate almost an entire english muffin w/ egg and cheese and got all freaked out. I just want to make sure that I am not eating too much...How did YOU eat at 8 months out? — Jessica D (posted on July 14, 2003)

hi, i am also eight months out and have been able to eat to much for months
now it kinda stinks because i think i would lose more if i couldn't like
some people can only eat a half a taco or two chicken wing and be full not
me. i will say i am still loseing so i'm glad about that and it's gonna
sound like i eat out a lot but i'll give you some examples...today at lunch
i ate an ultamate taco minus two bites and about eight french fries at del
taco. last night for dinner i had one chicken thiegh rolled in a tortilla
with cilantro and quacamole, about 5 peices cooked broccli and half my
potato salad from el polo loco. i have in the past ate a whole egg mc
muffin with a hash brown from mc donnalds. if i go to sizzler i can eat the
senior steak with steamed broccli and 1/2 cheese toast. when at work i take
lean cusine and can eat an entire 9/10oz frozen dinner. anyways like i said
it sounds like a lot and some are gonna say i eat out to much but really
it's not every day this has been over the course of the last eight months.
at my last dr. appointment i was down 104 pounds in about 7 1/2 months.
more than some at this stage a lot less then others at this point but, as
long as i'm still loseing i'm happy. i am deffinately not one of those
people that can order a meal out and eat left overs 3 or 4 more times on
it. oh well i'm not big on left overs anyway. best of luck to you, kimberly

Hi there, I'm glad you asked this question. I am also 8 months post op. I'm
sure from day one- I've been able to eat more then most other people. I
used to hear people say "oh my I got stuffed off my 2 teaspoons of
jello..NOT ME ! Now, at 8 months post op- I really need to WATCH what I
eat- Sometimes, I feel I can snack all day- Today was a pretty good day for
me, that is what I had...for breakfast- 1 can Atkins Shake, midmorning
snack- 2 oz beef jerky, Lunch (pizza hut) The toppings off 2 slices of meat
lovers pizza and a large salad. Mid afternoon snack- 1 small pickle and one
sugar free chocolate candy- for dinner, A large Salad and about 5oz of
steak. I try to watch what I eat- but I'm not going to starve myself to
death either. I'm just trying to learn MODERATION- best wishes
