Question:
I FOUND A SNACK THAT I WANT TO SHARE

I found a snack that I want to share with my AMOS friends. It's a DQ (Dairy Queen) Vanilla-Orange Bar. It's a vanilla fat free ice cream & orange fat free fronzen dairy confection. It tastes just like an orange creamsicle. It's Fat Free, NO sugar added (has 2 gm sugar) and 2 gr protein. Total cals - 60. It satisfied my craving for an ice cream. I usually get the Dilly Bars but this one I like better. Thought I would pass the info along    — Peggy D. (posted on June 18, 2003)

Thank you so much for the suggestion! It is always a nice surprise to find something new to try as the same old foods tend to become a bore. I haven't taken my kids to a DQ since my surgery because I was afraid it would be too "painfull" for me lol. Now I know I can take them and have a treat with them! Thanks very much! Lynda

Thanks so much for this info!! We live a block away from DQ & I haven't even thought of checking for low fat/low sugar items there! Thanks again!

My hubby and I are huge Mr. MIsty fans -- and I was feeling bad about not having my summer treat. Well, a couple days ago I was getting him an orange Misty and I asked if I could get just the slush ice. They sold me the ice - and I went home and put a little sprinkle of sugar free Kool-Aide into the slush. Stirred -- and YUMMY!! I had a Mr. Misty with no calories!!

For those of you who live in Pa you can also get sugar free Rita's Italian Ice which is awesome!

DQ has other sugar free items as well. Just ask. I like the rasberry-vanilla bar. They also have a SF Dilly Bar, Fudgesicle and Ice Cream sandwich if I remember right. I can still get my treat when I take the kids there for their's!

here is my favorite "ice cream" fat free cool whip, 15 cals 0 fat 4 sugars and strawberries..first i cut up the strawberries and add splenda to them and let them sit in the frig for a couple of hours. they get all soft mushie and juicy. i then mix them juice and all to the cool whip...and oh boy it is great.-alex

Blue Bunny also makes Raspberry Cream and Orange Cream No Sugar added ice cream bars. Both flavors are in the same box. Yummy... it's also nice to know you can just drive thru DQ and get something though!!!

Blue Bunny makes these also and they are good. If you have a local Schwann's truck, they also have something similar that also has green and yellow swirled with the orange -- it's a sherbet bar I think.
