Question:
Cant get water down, can I add something to it????
I cant get water down to well and I am 2 weeks post op. I have been adding about 1 tablespoon of Tang to 9 oz of water. Does this still count for my water intake? — Melissa B. (posted on April 14, 2003)

I am sure some will not agree with me, but any liquid intake (as long is it
is non- or low caloric is good. Of course avoiding caffeine helps too. I
still have some problems with water...so I put a squeeze of lemon in it, or
I buy those Fruit 2 0 drinks made by VeryFine. I hope this helps you. Also,
herbal teas are great.

Do you mean you physically can't get it down or just having a hard time
getting all that's required in? I believe Tang has sugar in it, I could be
wrong, so that wouldn't be that great of a way to do it unfortunately.
Drinking sugary drinks is empty calories and can really slow the weight
loss down or make you gain eventually. Have you tried crystal light? Or
adding some lemons, limes or oranges to spice it up a little. Even making
homemade lemonade with fresh lemons and splenda is a good way. If the tang
doesn't have sugar, go for it, but otherwise I would skip it. Goodluck to
