Question:
Any samples of letters for an appeal to insurance if you are turned down for a TT?

I have been turned down by insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield)for abdominoplasty after losing over #110. I would like to write an appeal and would greatly appreciate any suggestions and samples of letters others have written to have their TT covered. there is a whole large section of this web site on post-op plastic surgery and another on insurance issues. both have lots of sample letters. however, a sample letter won't do you any good if you don't address the reasons Blue Cross/Blue Shield denied the procedure. I know it's easy to believe that there are some magic sentences that always win appeals. There aren't. You need to deal with your specific issues, and that means being proactive and doing research on those issues. it also means carefully reading your insurance policy and the denial letter and learning the proper procedure for appealling the decision. So get over to the plastic surgery area and get to work!
