I did atkins. Although it was not called that by my nutritionist I knew it
to be atkins. I got all my protein in and drank my water , it worked and
continues to work well. I up my carbs to stop weight loss and go back to
strict atkins if I gain a lb or 2. I have been sucessful for going into my
3rd year now.

Me too! I do less than 40 carbs a day. Most come from milk products in my
diet. I have had pretty good success with 46 pounds in 2 months. I don't
really do high fat because it is uncomfortable to eat too much fat for me
post op. I do get about 25% of my calories from fat, 50-60% from protein
and the rest is carbs. Not bread or grains of any kind just the ones that
occur in veges and milk. Did you know that the average person on a healthy
diet eats 300-400g of carbs per day? I was shocked. I must have eaten twice
that at least before surgery.
