has anyone had the 'LAP' procedure at pacific bariatrics??

has anyone had the 'lap' procedure at pacific bariatrics??i have asked this question a few times and so far, i have received not one response from anyone that has actually had it done. (people say they do it..but i don't think so!) double d    — double D. (posted on July 27, 2002)

Of the 5 surgeons at Pacific Bariatrics, only two - Dr. Zorn and Dr. Tanaka, perform the lap surgeries. I would suggest calling Pacific Bariatrics at 1-800-267-7212 and asking them if they can refer you to any patients who have had the lap surgery. If they won't do that, ask for some contact information, for their support groups that meet in the San Diego area, and see if they can direct you to some patients who have had the lap. Double D...I'm scheduled for Lap RNY November 4th at Pacific Bariatric with Dr. Tanaka. Only 2 surgeons do Lap on Mondays only. Long wait list. Few are approved for Lap by ins and/or surgeon so it is probably hard to find other patients. But they do Lap!! I can't wait!! Best wishes.
