Question:
Hi.. I am 8 post-op & am interested in purchasing Victoria Bowens cookbook.
If anyone has any comments, I would greatly appreciate them. I am curious to see how easy and if there is much of a variety of foods her book has that are low in carbs and high in protein. And does her book breakdown what the totals are for proteins and carbs so we know how much were getting? Thanks for your responce.. S.K. (down 124 lbs.) — S. K. (posted on July 26, 2002)

I have Vicki's cookbook at home...and without it in front of me I can't
remember off the top of my head whether she has the nutritional breakdown
to each recipe in it...but I can tell you that the cookbook is great.
Recipes are very tasty and wonderful...the cookbook set up is also very
easy to read and directions easy to follow for the "kitchenally
challenged"LOL...It is great. My kids even enjoy the recipes I get
from there.
Good luck

I use recipezaar.com Gosh it is a great site and you can pick up recies
by catagory..I go in and click on main dishes then click on high protein
and it spits out about 5,000 high protein recipes with the complete
breakdowns of carbs, fat, protein etc. Very good site...I use it every
day......
