Question:
For patients that had the Duodenal Switch, how much protein do we need?
I had the Duodenal Switch. I have heard that we need 60 grams per day. I was told 70-100 grams per day. How do you figure exactly how much protein you need? I have been staying as close to 100 grams per day as possible. That's when I go to fitday.com and list everything I eat in a day. (for the calculations) Thanks gang for your help. — Cinna G. I was told 80 grams/day. The only way I can think of to tell if you are
getting enough is to track your protein levels on your blood tests. They
can tell if you're not getting enough. You should be fine with what you are
doing now.
