Question:
Can anyone that is on the run a lot give me an idea what a typical day is like eating
I am a little under 2 mos post-op RNY & was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what their typical day is as far as what they eat? What is on their meal plan etc. when they are running around. Also what is your exercise schedule like? Thanks! — Allison T. (posted on May 29, 2002)

At 2 months post op (open RNY) I ate maybe one oz. of scrambled egg beaters
w/cheese for breakfast, 1-2 oz lowfat meat and poss cheese for lunch and
1-2 oz meat for supper with 1-2 bites of a veggie or fruit for supper. I
had a glass of skim milk at noc with my vitamins.
I always waited at least 1-2 hours after meals to begin drinking water
again.
I am 9 1/2 mo. post op down 97 pounds and that includes 4/12 months of
being in a cast due to foot fractures.
Good luck to you.

Let's see. This morning I had a half cup of wheat flakes with one large
strawberry sliced and skim milk and a cup of coffee. For lunch I am eating
a salad with lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken breast, cheese and fat free
ranch dressing. Last night for dinner I had a few bites of grilled steak
and some green beans. I usually eat 2/3 of a Dannon Light 'n' Fit yogurt
for a snack and try to get some sort of fruit in if not every day then
every other day.
We won't talk about exercise...

If you look at my profile I have listed out "A day in the life"
at 4 months and 9 months out. You can see what I ate and how it changed
over time. I did weights and cardio 2 x week for the first 6 months. The
past 6 months I haven't been able to exercise but, man, would I sure love
to get back to it!
