I don't have an answer...I am pre-op RNY 6-20-02...but I AM very interested
in this question, as corn on the cob is probably one of my favorite things
to eat!! I look forward to seeing some answers here.... :)

All surgeons are different in what they allow and when. I could have
anything including corn at 4 weeks. But my surgeon also REQUIRED us to eat
BEFORE we were discharged. I was eating soft solids. I never did liquid
or had to puree. But for 4-6 weeks I had to stay away from corn, peas
(things with a casing), salads, meats.

I had my surgery on May 8th, 2001 and I was eating corn on the cob that
summer with NO PROBLEMS. However it greatly slowed my weight loss. But then
I smother it in butter.
I usually try to eat right... but corn on the cob season comes around only
once a year, so I pig on it. Then go back to being "good" when
it's over.

I started eating corn on the cob about two months after surgery. I have
never had any problems with it. I use the "I can't believe it's not
butter" spray and it tastes great to me.
Good luck!

I am not able to eat corn at all. I'm not able to digest it - comes right
back up. :(

I'm 3 1/2 months out and I have had corn on the cob since about 2 1/2
months-no problems. But as you can see, others are sensitive to it, so you
just have to experiment with all foods and see how your tummy handles it
