Question:
What exactly is grazing

6 tiny meals would be, for example, putting a few crackers, a slice of
cheese and a few apple slices on a plate and sitting down for 15 min. Every
2 hours. Grazing is leaving the box of crackers open, the package of cheese
open and the whole apple sliced on your desk and munching all day while you
work. Might end up being ALMOST as much food (depending on pkg size), BUT
it does different things to your pouch.

Grazing can lead to defeating the surgery. You can consume a LOT of
calories by eating small amounts all day long. Many people also graze on
carbs, another no-no!

I was a big fan of "grazing" or eating more meals at small
amounts all day when I was pregnant. I couldn't eat much at a time because
I would get sick. SOme people think its bad and from past posts it seems
as though surgeon's differ on the opinion. If you have to graze to get all
your protein, etc. in though, I think its a good idea. Maybe necessary for
the beginning. I am pre-op, so this is just my opinion.

I personally believe that 6 small well-defined meals a day is not grazing,
although others would disagree. But I do mean well-defined. That is,
having a specific meal, eating it and then not eating again until the next
meal. Grazing is much like what the first poster said, just eating
constantly throughout the day, basically one meal that lasts all day long.
