Question:
What if I do not have rashes from my panni?
My insurance does not have an exclusion, plus they only require "medical neccessity". But my Dr will not send the pre approval info unless I have a documentation of chronic rashes ect. I do nto have this. Any advice? — Sue B. (posted on February 12, 2002)

It has always been very easy for me to develop a rash under my panni (I
always called it an apron) If I just accidentally scratch the skin right
in the fold, I will get a painful, itching rash. This can also happen if I
"pull" the skin too much, it kind of splits. Hope this helps, I
am cringing at the thought, though.

I probably shouldn't even answer this.. but I do know for a fact on some
people baby powder under there on a hot day will do the trick.. and will
just make a superficial rash that looks pretty bad.

Sure you have rashes. You must go to your dermatologist and tell him about
the terrible rash you had when you called to make your appointment. Too bad
he is so busy that his office made you wait two months for an appointment
and the GOLD BOND powder you tried, cleared it up after a couple of weeks.
You just wanted to make sure he gave you a prescription for some cream if
possible so you dont have to go through that again!
