Question:
Has anyone used the Vita4Life Quick Absorption Vitamins?

I am 5 1/2 months post-op lap/rny and have been having trouble digesting my Centrum vitamin tablet. Chewables don't agree with me. There is a website called www.vita4life.net that sells a quick disolving multivitamin made by a bariatric surgeon specifically for WLS patients. I would really like to hear from anyone who's used this product, specifically if they are more digestible than the ordinary vitamins like Centrum, etc. Thanks for your responses.    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 27, 2001)

I don't know about those vitamins, and I haven't had my surgery yet, (it got rescheduled for Oct. 8) but my mother in law uses liquid vitamins for herself, and I thought I might try that.

I use them and love them. They are conveinent (prepackaged 12 in a pack) and they don't have that nasty vitamin taste I hate. I haven't had any problems swollowing them even though they are big and no problem digesting them either. One can lasts me three months and the number of vitamins you take depends on the type surgery you have. I don't recommend the protein drinks vita4life sells they are very nasty.

I take them and they work real well. I was on Flintstones Complete and hated the taste. I ordered the Vita4life and am doing quite well on them. I feel great everyday. I take 4 a day. I am 3 months post-op and 50 lbs less. They are a little expensive but well worth it.

The caps are better than the tablets... Unless you have trouble swallowing (the tablet can be crushed easier.) I have no info other than the tablets leave a funky aftertaste. The caps have no such problems. Note: I recomend dry wiping the dust off the caps before putting them in your mouth. *Do not get them wet* The caps are quick desolving (30 seconds)
