Does anyone know anything good to take for menstrual cramps after surgery?

I am 3 months post-op and experience very bad menstrual cramps every month. Before surgery I was able to take motrin or aleve but, now that I am post-op I was told that I can only take Tylenol or Acetominophin. They both do absolutely nothing for my cramps. I was wondering if anyone could suggest anything else that I could take. I hate to endure this pain every month but, am afraid to take anything that might hurt me in the long run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
