Has anyone had a problem with dark circles under eyes after surgery?

I am 2 months post-op and have dark circles under my eyes that even with makeup are beginning to show. I was wondering if this could be due to the smaller amount of food and nutrients that I am taking in now. I am getting more than my daily required intake of protein and take my vitamins, calcium and zinc religiously. I have been trying to eat from all the food groups as well. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do and does anyone know of any creme or something similar to take this away or fade it? Any help would be appreciated.
